UT's Women and Philanthropy will celebrate its first grant award by giving a glass sculpture by Tom McGlauchlin to the University, to be placed in the Carlson Library concourse. The database is fully searchable by keyword and subject, and it has many novel features—such as discussion forums and personal folders—made possible by online publication. Its coverage includes cell and molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, protein science, and imaging. Protocols are presented step-by-step and edited in the style that has made Molecular Cloning, Antibodies, Cells and many other CSH manuals essential to the work of scientists worldwide. This provides seminar-style (slides with synchronized narration) presentations from leading experts on a wide variety of biomedical and health science topics. Canaday Center.  <br /><br />Main Campus faculty authors should submit their publications to Suhasini Kumar, Government Documents Dept., Carlson Library, MS#509, while Health Science Campus faculty authors should submit to Jolene Miller, Mulford Library, MS#1061.  A complete bibliographic citation for each publication is requested. Other floors of Carlson Library  will be open their current hours, closing at midnight Sunday - Thursday. The online museum was first created by former faculty member Dr. Timothy Messer-Kruse as a site to bring some of the more important and obscure stories of Toledo's past to light in an online format.  This concept was quite revolutionary in a time well before Google and the current proliferation of the web.<br /><br />Although Dr. Messer-Kruse has moved on from the University of Toledo, Toledo's Attic is still growing.  Please visit the site and feel free to contribute your own stories, remembrances, or possibly your own material. The first awards were given out in a ceremony on September 6.
